All-electric Skywell Q
15.10.2024
At the Paris Motor Show, the Chinese brand Skywell introduced its latest model, the all-electric hatchback Q. This global debut of the Q in Europe is a reflection of the brand's ambitious market goals. The Q is described as nimble and sporty, packed with a range of standard features. It will be in competition with vehicles like the Volkswagen ID.3 and Vauxhall Astra Electric, boasting dimensions of 4,297mm in length, 1,836mm in width, and 1,536mm in height.
The exterior design of the Q sets it apart from the BE11 SUV, showcasing full-width LED light bars at the front and rear, a vent reminiscent of the Porsche Taycan, a rear roof spoiler, diffuser, and faux forged carbon trim. It will roll on 19-inch wheels, branded as Skyworth, a subsidiary of Skywell. The Q will offer two battery options, providing a range of over 480km on a single charge and a rapid 20-minute charge from 10 to 80 percent. With a 201bhp electric motor powering the front wheels, the Q can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds.
Expected features include a 15.6-inch touchscreen, 360-degree parking camera, panoramic glass roof, ambient display, and wireless smartphone charger. Skywell aims to price the Q competitively, with detailed specifications to be revealed closer to the Autumn 2025 launch date. The Q will be backed by a seven-year, 160,000-km warranty, along with an additional eight-year, 250,000-km warranty for the battery.
