09.08.2024
Hours before its official unveiling, the all-new Audi A6 e-tron has been fully exposed through multiple media channels. Exclusive images and crucial details about the Sportback and Avant estate versions, along with the powerful S6 model, have surfaced in digital publications. The cutting-edge A6 e-tron is rumored to boast a remarkable 543bhp and over 750 km of range. Both the sedan and estate variants will be equipped with the state-of-the-art Premium Platform Electric (PPE) platform and 800-volt architecture used in the Q6 e-tron SUV.
According to reports, the A6 e-tron is set to offer two powertrain options. The base A6 e-tron Performance model will be equipped with a single rear motor delivering 362bhp, allowing it to accelerate from 0-62mph in 5.4 seconds. On the other hand, the flagship S6 model will come with an additional front motor for a combined power output of 496bhp, enabling it to reach 0-100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds. The S6 will also feature a launch control function that temporarily boosts power to 543bhp. Both models will be fitted with a 94.9kWh (usable) battery and will have peak DC charging speeds of 270kW.
The new A6 e-tron models are visually similar to the A6 e-tron concept from 2021, with features such as a color-coded grille panel, slim daytime running lights, and narrow headlights inspired by the Q6 model. The S6 variant will stand out with satin silver trim and illuminated rings replacing the Audi logo at the rear. Inside the cabin, you will find a curved infotainment panel, a smaller screen for the passenger, a squared-off steering wheel, and a high center console crafted from a combination of materials like leather, fabric, and high-gloss black plastic.
