26.09.2024

The Hennessey Venom F5-M Roadster, the most powerful production car ever equipped with a manual gearbox, has been revealed. Only 12 units of this car, based on the semi-automatic Venom F5, will be produced, all of which have already been sold at a price of €2.5 million each. Hennessey, the Texan hypercar manufacturer, aims to enhance the pure thrill of driving with the Venom F5-M. The car retains the open-cockpit design of the standard Roadster, but features a striking 1.4-meter (55-inch) dorsal fin extending from the roof-mounted air intake to the rear deck.John Hennessey, the founder and CEO of the company, expressed his excitement about building a manual Venom F5 in response to client demand. Design director Nathan Malinick described the F5-M Roadster as a car for bold and brave driving enthusiasts seeking raw power, a dramatic look, and an unmatched driving experience. The interior of the F5-M Roadster is equipped with a Formula One-inspired steering wheel and a carbon-fiber gear lever directly connected to the gearbox without electronic assistance. The open-gated six-speed manual gearbox delivers a massive 1,817bhp to the rear wheels. While exact performance figures have not been disclosed, the F5-M Roadster succeeds the Hennessey Venom GT Spyder, which set a world record in 2016 as the fastest open-top car with a top speed of 427.4 km/h.Each of the 12 F5-M Roadsters will be unique within a 30-unit production run of Roadsters. Owners will choose their paint color, which will then be removed from the configurator to ensure total exclusivity, according to Hennessey.
