12/06/2025

Introducing the Land Rover Discovery Sport — a family SUV that has stood the test of time for over a decade. But don't let its age deceive you; this versatile vehicle is not fading into the background! For the 2026 model year, the Discovery Sport has undergone a thrilling transformation featuring a bolder aesthetic, a state-of-the-art larger touchscreen, and two stunning new special editions. Leading the charge is the Dynamic S, the entry-level variant. Land Rover asserts that this trim embodies a “dynamic and purposeful look” with its striking gloss black grille, wheel arches, side cladding, and lower bumpers, complemented by 'Discovery' lettering boldly displayed on the bonnet. The new alloy wheel designs add a touch of flair to its appearance as well.

Step inside, and the transformation continues! Every new Discovery Sport is outfitted with an impressive 29 cm (11.4 inches) curved touchscreen, powered by Land Rover’s cutting-edge Pivi Pro infotainment system — a nod to the luxury of the Range Rover. Connectivity is seamless with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto now standard, making it easier than ever to stay connected on the go. Furthermore, the completely digital instrument cluster and steering wheel-mounted gear shift paddles enhance that sporty feel. Nestled just above the Dynamic S in the lineup is the Landmark edition. This special variant celebrates over 35 years of adventure and exploration that the Discovery name represents. The signature mountain range logo, first showcased on the original 1989 Discovery, makes a stylish reappearance on the aluminum tread plates and is even projected onto the ground at night by the car’s puddle lights— a feature designed to impress!

Equipped with a sophisticated 3D surround camera system, the Discovery Sport Landmark effortlessly navigates tricky situations whether on the open road or venturing off the beaten path. Its panoramic glass roof offers an inviting ambiance, while the sliding and reclining middle row of seats, complete with ‘Click & Go’ tablet holders and roof rails, maximizes the vehicle's versatility. At the pinnacle of the lineup, we discover the Metropolitan edition, which amplifies luxury and style. It boasts attractive 20-inch diamond-turned alloy wheels, a silver-finished front grille, and elegant bonnet lettering, along with silver front and rear skid plates that provide a striking contrast.

The interior is equally lavish, showcasing 14-way adjustable heated and cooled seats crafted from sumptuous Windsor leather. Audio aficionados will appreciate the 650W 14-speaker Meridian surround sound system that envelops passengers in rich sound. Added conveniences include a cabin air-purification system for freshness and a digital rear-view mirror that ensures a clear view out the back, even when the vehicle is filled to the brim with family, friends, and their gear.

When it comes to performance, the Discovery Sport offers an array of engine options, all equipped with four-wheel drive and various levels of hybrid technology. The Ingenium four-cylinder diesel engine is available with power outputs of 120 kW (161 hp) or 149 kW (201 hp), utilizing 48-volt mild-hybrid assistance for an impeccably smooth stop-start system. For those seeking eco-friendly performance, the plug-in hybrid variant combines a petrol engine with a more robust motor and a 15 kWh battery, generating an impressive 198 kW (265 hp) with the capability of delivering up to 58 kilometers on pure electric power.

The newly refreshed Land Rover Discovery Sport follows the recent upgrades seen in the full-sized Discovery and the immensely popular Defender, and it’s officially available for order now. Prices start at around €52,700 — a modest increase of approximately €1,050 from the previous model. The Landmark Edition ramps up the price to about €56,500, while the luxurious Metropolitan Edition begins at €64,800 and comes exclusively with the more powerful diesel engine option. On top of the vehicle updates, Land Rover has introduced exciting new options packs to enhance the ownership experience. The Beach Days pack features a cooler integrated into the centre armrest, sunshades for those sunny park days, and a collapsible organizer to keep the boot tidy. Meanwhile, the Snow Days pack is perfect for winter enthusiasts, capable of carrying up to four pairs of skis or two snowboards with specialized carriers and cross bars, topped off with rubber floor mats designed to keep the carpet pristine despite muddy boots.
