Introducing the new Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid and GTS
03.08.2024
The latest Porsche Panamera lineup has welcomed the addition of two new high-performance variations. The Panamera GTS, renowned for its unmatched driving experience among Porsche's front-engined vehicles, and the impressive Turbo S E-Hybrid equipped with a powerful 771 bhp engine. The Turbo S E-Hybrid boasts an upgraded V8 plug-in hybrid engine, pairing a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine with an electric motor to deliver a peak combined power of 771 bhp and a torque of 1,000 Nm. This enables the Panamera to accelerate from 0-62 mph in just 2.9 seconds and achieve a top speed of 201 mph. The hybrid module remains consistent across all Panamera models, with the e-motor generating 187 bhp and a 25.9 kWh battery pack offering up to 54 miles of emissions-free driving. Porsche's testing at the Nurburgring Nordschleife resulted in a record-breaking time of 7 minutes and 24.1 seconds, highlighting the exceptional performance capabilities of the new Turbo S E-Hybrid variant.
Porsche has not released an exact weight for the new Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid, but it is expected to be similar to the non-S variant, which weighs just under 2,400kg. To handle the weight of the car, Porsche has fitted it with advanced chassis technology, including the Active Ride Control system that eliminates the need for traditional anti-roll bars. The Turbo S E-Hybrid also boasts Porsche's largest front carbon ceramic brakes, 21-inch centre-lock forged wheels with Michelin Cup 2 tires, and a new Carbon Aero package for improved aerodynamics.Alongside the flagship Turbo S E-Hybrid, Porsche has unveiled the updated Panamera GTS model. This model is powered by a 4-liter V8 engine producing 493bhp and offers a more focused driving experience compared to the Turbo S E-Hybrid. The GTS accelerates from 0-62mph in 3.8 seconds and comes with Porsche's adaptive air suspension system, Sports Exhaust system, and torque vectoring rear differential as standard. Both models are now available for order, with deliveries scheduled to start in early 2025. For a list of Porsche models for sale in Cyprus, click here.
