During the 2024 Monterey Car Week, Pagani unveiled the Utopia Roadster, their latest supercar creation that joins the exclusive ranks of high-end vehicles. This convertible model offers the same extreme performance as its coupe counterpart, without compromising on handling or speed. Starting at 3.1 million euros, this car is definitely not for the faint of heart.Similar to the Coupe, the Utopia Roadster showcases Pagani's expertise in composite innovation, utilizing a state-of-the-art carbon tub. The carbon fiber blend used in the Roadster is a combination of metallic and composite strands for added strength, maintaining a weight of 1,280kg even with the addition of a removable hardtop that includes a transparent section for enjoying the sunshine.
Under the hood, the Utopia Roadster is powered by a bespoke twin-turbo 6.0-litre V12 engine from AMG, specifically tailored for Pagani. This unique powerplant delivers a peak power output of 851bhp and 1,100Nm of torque to the rear wheels through a seven-speed manual transmission developed with XTrac, with an optional semi-automatic transmission for faster gear shifts. The car also features Pagani's own electronically controlled limited-slip differential and stability and traction control system.
Mechanical components like the gold powder-coated suspension mounts and advanced active suspension system are meticulously designed, while the forged alloy wheels can be fitted with optional carbon aero-inserts for enhanced aerodynamics. The exterior design of the Roadster closely resembles the coupe model, and each car can be customized to the owner's preferences.
Inside, the Utopia Roadster boasts analog dials, physical switches, and a beautifully crafted aluminum steering wheel wrapped in high-quality leather. An optional Sport Package offers seats made from Pagani's CarboTitanium material and a full titanium exhaust system, along with other components finished in CarboTitanium.
Production numbers for the Utopia Roadster have not been disclosed, but it is anticipated to be limited like the Coupe model, which is capped at 99 units. Special editions and bespoke commissions are likely to follow, continuing Pagani's tradition of providing unique and exclusive vehicles.
