Bespoke Registration Plates in Cyprus

In Cyprus, you can only purchase digits through the Road Transport Department (RTD) auction. Letters are assigned sequentially by the government and cannot be custom-selected. However, if you are waiting for a specific letter combination to match your premium vehicle, you can legally drive using 'Dokimi' (trade) plates until your preferred letter series comes up on the auction. We monitor this timeframe for you.

Yes. The RTD restricts certain digit combinations from being issued. Forbidden custom numbers in Cyprus currently include 13, 69, and 666. Any other available digits can be secured, though you are strictly limited to bidding on one number per Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) during a single auction.

No, this is a very common misconception. In Cyprus, once a custom number plate is purchased and assigned, it cannot be transferred to another car. The bespoke plate stays with that specific car forever, which actually adds permanent resale value to the premium vehicle when you decide to part with it.

Once your bespoke registration plate is successfully purchased from the RTD portal, you have exactly 4 months to officially register the car with those digits. This gives you a comfortable timeframe to finalize your premium vehicle import to Cyprus or wait for the perfect letter sequence to be released.

Absolutely not. Dealing with government portals and auction bidding can be highly stressful and confusing. We manage the entire RTD bidding and custom plate allocation process on your behalf.
