The revamped Audi RS 3 has been revealed with a refreshed five-cylinder engine, showcasing a new design and added features. Expected to be available later this year, this high-performance model will be offered in both five-door hatchback and four-door saloon variants. The popular five-cylinder petrol engine from the previous RS 3 has been retained, delivering the same impressive 394bhp and 500Nm of torque. Power is distributed through a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox and an all-wheel drive system with a rear-mounted torque-vectoring differential. Updates to the powertrain's calibration and software have been implemented to enhance the driving experience, including new settings for the rear differential and a torque-vectoring by braking system. Audi promises improved agility during high-speed maneuvers, as well as a more natural feel when inducing oversteer. The RS 3 will come equipped with high-performance tires as standard, with the option for Pirelli's track-focused Trofeo R tire in international markets. Additionally, carbon ceramic brakes and an RS Sports exhaust system are expected to be available as optional extras.
The RS 3 has been given a striking visual makeover, with a focus on a more aggressive design and updated technology in the interior. Both the front and rear lights have been revamped, giving the front end a fiercer appearance. The wide arches from the previous model are still present, and a new lower bumper has been added at the back. The car now sports a fresh 19-inch wheel design and comes in eye-catching colours like Kemora Grey and Kyalami Green. Inside, a new flat-top and bottom steering wheel with intuitive controls for different driving modes has been added. The cabin has received updates with new upholstery, customizable interior lighting, and improved materials. The RS 3 comes equipped with carbon fiber elements, darkened headlights, a panoramic sunroof, adaptive dampers, and electrically adjustable front seats with memory settings. Not only is the RS 3 a thrill to drive, but it also offers practicality, making it a standout choice in the hot hatchback market.
