The groundbreaking Hyundai N Vision 74 concept captured the attention of internet users worldwide when it was first revealed two years ago, thanks to its striking wedge design. After receiving overwhelming demand for a production model, Hyundai has confirmed that the N Vision 74 will indeed be hitting the roads.
For drivers based in Cyprus, the context below is worth keeping in mind before the next purchase.
During the company’s 2024 CEO Investor Day presentation, a slide indicated that the high-performance electric vehicle would be joining Hyundai's lineup by 2030, alongside other models such as the Genesis Magma. Although details about the production timeline, pricing, and quantity remain sparse, a report from a South Korean newspaper suggested that the N Vision 74 could potentially be released as early as 2026, with only 200 units planned for production at a cost of over €340,000 each.
The road-going version of the N Vision 74 is expected to boast over 760bhp and utilize a hydrogen fuel-cell powertrain, similar to the original concept. Drawing inspiration from the iconic Hyundai Pony Coupe concept from 1974, the design features a unique setup with a front-mounted fuel-cell stack, a 62.4kWh battery placed centrally, and electric motors driving the rear wheels.
The N Vision 74's design, attributed to renowned designer Giorgetto Giugiaro, bears resemblance to the DMC Delorean.
