Kia Vision Meta Turismo concept previews an electric Stinger replacement

Kia saved one last dramatic reveal for the end of 2025: the Vision Meta Turismo concept. Unveiled at the brand’s Vision Square learning institute in Yongin as part of its 80th anniversary celebrations, the four-door electric saloon was teased days earlier and now gives a bold glimpse of the company’s next design chapter. It’s a striking statement that hints at a return to athletic, low-slung saloon proportions not seen since the Stinger era, but refracted through a fully electric, futuristic lens. Visually the Meta Turismo threads Kia’s current styling cues through a new, sleeker silhouette.

The front wears the marque’s Star Map lighting, but the headlamps are unusually positioned high on the bonnet, creating a distinctive face. The rear is dominated by wafer-thin LED light bars that stretch across the width—an element already familiar from recent electric models but here integrated into a far more streamlined shape. That teardrop profile and elongated roofline are designed for aerodynamic efficiency, suggesting a much longer real-world range than boxier SUV-shaped EVs. Kia describes the concept as expressing three core experiences: performance driving, immersive digital interaction, and the spaciousness of a lounge. Inside those themes come alive. The driver gets a bespoke seat and an unconventional control layout that pairs a joystick-like input with a yoke-style steering unit, signaling a serious focus on engagement. Augmented reality is central, too: an AR head-up display projects virtual graphics that appear to float above the road, blending HUD data with navigation cues and immersive visuals. Three selectable digital personas—Speedster, Dreamer, and Gamer—promise different cabin moods and driver assistance behaviors, though detailed explanations are still forthcoming. The interior aims to balance an intimate, driver-focused cockpit with lounge-like rear accommodation, made possible by a notably long wheelbase. That platform could plausibly house Kia’s largest battery pack, the 99.8 kWh unit used in the brand’s biggest EVs.

Paired with the concept’s slippery body, such a pack would likely deliver substantially greater range than the blockier EV9, which manages about 562 km on a single charge. More than a styling exercise, the Vision Meta Turismo reads like a strategic hint. Kia hasn’t confirmed which production model the concept presages, but the company’s recent naming pattern—EV4 and EV5 launched this year while EV7 and EV8 remain unused—means the Turismo might preview one of those upcoming models. The vehicle’s mix of dynamic intent and digital sophistication maps cleanly onto the premium end of the EV market and could broaden Kia’s footprint among buyers craving sport-sedan flair in an electric package. Technically, the concept keeps specifics close to the chest. Performance figures, range targets tied to certified cycles, and the exact nature of the driving modes have yet to be released. What the design and packaging do tell us is that Kia is thinking seriously about delivering driver engagement, advanced connectivity, and a living-room atmosphere all in one car.

It’s a bold synthesis that would shake up the brand’s EV lineup by offering a true saloon alternative to the prevailing crossover trend. If you’re tracking Kia’s electric evolution and want something more immediate, used EV6 examples are already filtering through the market, with prices starting at roughly €18,720. But for a glimpse of where the marque’s styling, technology and ambition might converge next, the Vision Meta Turismo is the clearest preview yet—an evocative concept that teases both performance and refinement while signalling a potential new chapter in electric saloons.
