Maybach, renowned for its luxurious high-class reputation, will be making a groundbreaking move by affixing its prestigious name to a Mercedes SL for the very first time. Revealed at Monterey Car Week in California, the Mercedes-Maybach SL is touted as the most lavish and costly roadster ever produced by the German manufacturer. This latest addition will be part of the series-production range, joining other Maybach models such as the S-Class, GLS, and EQS SUV.
The Mercedes-Maybach SL showcases opulence through its distinctive features such as a double-bubble tonneau cover, custom front and rear bumpers with bold chrome accents, and an illuminated vertical strake grille. The headlights are adorned with rose-gold elements and there are two options for 21-inch wheel designs available. Inside, the Maybach SL offers a luxurious two-seater experience with Crystal White nappa leather adorned with a floral design and galvanised silver finishing on the seat-backs. Despite Maybach's traditional association with V12 engines, the SL model is powered by an AMG twin-turbocharged 4-litre V8 engine delivering 577bhp, mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission tailored for comfort and refinement.
