Mercedes-Benz covers more ground in Cyprus than any other marque, from a GLC as an everyday car to an S-Class for representation and the electric EQ models with no road tax. The difficulty is that the well-specified cars leave the market quickly, and a hurried purchase almost always ends in the wrong combination of options — which is exactly what separates two cars that look the same. We wait for the right car rather than land the available one, confirm the option list against the VIN, and set one landed price in the agreement before payment. The import runs on our side: one agreement, with the sum and the terms fixed in it, and shipping, customs and registration included.
Which versions are worth importing
The GLC and GLA are the everyday Mercedes on the island: the right size for town, predictable to run and easy to sell on. The electric EQ models add zero road tax to that. The G-Class, and the G63 in particular, holds value better than anything else in the range and forgives age. The GLE and GLC work as family cars without drawing attention. The S-Class is bought for silence and for the rear seats, and it is the rear-cabin options that decide the resale figure. On the AMG GT how the car was used matters more than what it makes.
Buying a used Mercedes: what matters
The cars we work with are up to five years old, so the question is rarely worn components and usually specification and provenance. First, the full option list against the chassis number rather than the advert: the difference between two apparently identical cars reaches a third of the price. Second, ownership history and the electrical and air-suspension records on the S-Class and GLE. Third, on AMG cars, service intervals, brake condition and the evidence of hard driving. Common mistakes when buying one
The first is buying by model name: an S-Class with the right rear-cabin options and one without are different cars at different money. The second is chasing a newer year instead of the right specification — the year ages on its own, the options do not. The third is underestimating air suspension on the S-Class and GLE: an expensive unit, and not always under warranty. The fourth is choosing an AMG on mileage alone. Price and what ownership costs
Cars in stock in Cyprus carry a price in the listing. A commission gives you one final landed price — car, shipping, duty and VAT where applicable, registration and our work — confirmed in the agreement before anything is paid. Road tax is calculated on CO₂ output: the electric EQ models are exempt entirely, the G63 and the AMG cars sit above 180 g/km at ten euros per gram and run into the fifteen hundred ceiling, and a diesel GLE lands in between.
