BMW is gearing up to unveil its latest model, the 2 Series Gran Coupe, but a premature reveal from its Chinese partner, BMW Brilliance, has given us an early glimpse of the car. The updated 2 Series Gran Coupe seems to draw inspiration from the refreshed BMW 1 Series hatchback in terms of design. Although the leaked photos showcase a long-wheelbase variant tailored for the Chinese market, they still provide a solid preview of what to anticipate in the EU edition. Notably, the M Sport trim showcases a front end that closely mirrors the new 1 Series, featuring modified headlights, grille, front bumper, and air intakes. In the rear, a new taillight design, an upgraded bumper, and quad-exhaust tips on the M235 model round out the stylish updates.
Even though the interior details have not been disclosed yet, it is anticipated that the 2 Series Gran Coupe will borrow design features and technology from the 1 Series. This includes a dual-screen setup with a 10.7-inch central screen and a 10.25-inch driver's display. The upcoming model is likely to have a similar engine lineup as the 1 Series, with the base variant rumored to have a mild-hybrid 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine, and the top-tier M235 model expected to boast a turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 296bhp.
