For drivers based in Cyprus, the context below is worth keeping in mind before the next purchase.
Celebrating 20 years of strong global success, Land Rover has unveiled a special edition of the Range Rover Sport, featuring exclusive combinations of design elements and materials. Alongside this limited-run version, the brand has also introduced a new addition to the line-up, called the Range Rover Sport Battersea.
The more distinctive of the two is the limited-run Range Rover Sport Twenty Edition, which combines a selection of high-end features from the SV model with a plug-in hybrid powertrain.
The standout exterior element is the Sanguillo Orange paint finish, exclusive to the Twenty Edition and inspired by the Range Stormer Concept that preceded the original Range Rover Sport. This is paired with black 23-inch wheels, with an alternative Sparkle Silver finish available. For a more understated look, Santorini Black and Ostuni White are also offered.
Inside, the cabin is trimmed in black Windsor leather, including carbon-backed bucket seats previously reserved for the SV model. The headlining is finished in black suedecloth, while the seat backs and dashboard feature forged carbon-fibre trim with a matte finish.
The only powertrain available is the P550e plug-in hybrid system, combining an inline six-cylinder petrol engine with an electric motor and a 38.2kWh battery. Total output is 542bhp, and the SUV can travel up to approximately 115 km on electric power alone. Prices start from around €135,000, making it only slightly more expensive than the P550e Autobiography model on which it is based.
The Range Rover Sport Battersea forms part of the London Editions series. It features a more subtle set of enhancements, including a black roof, black exterior detailing and 22-inch forged wheels as standard. Unique Battersea badging appears both on the exterior and within the interior trim. Prices start from approximately €103,000, and the model is available with a range of different powertrain options.
There is little doubt that the Range Rover Sport remains one of the most successful automotive exports from the EU. Slightly more compact than the flagship Range Rover but no less luxurious, it has broadened the brand’s appeal globally. Marking its 20-year milestone with special editions is a fitting way to celebrate its continued success.
