Rimac, the pioneering electric supercar manufacturer, has introduced its latest offering, the Rimac Nevera R, at Monterey Car Week. Enhancing the original Nevera's impressive quad-motor design, the new R model is tailored for a more track-oriented driving experience with improved dynamics and a more powerful powertrain. Boasting an astonishing 2,107bhp output from its four motors, all powered by Rimac's advanced 108kWh battery pack, the Nevera R offers unparalleled performance.
Despite a slightly smaller battery capacity than its predecessor, the new power-dense and efficient battery pack is expected to provide an impressive driving range. Accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.81 seconds, the Nevera R is quicker to 299 km/h and over the quarter mile, showcasing its exceptional speed capabilities.
In addition to raw power, Rimac has fine-tuned the car's torque-vectoring system, traction, stability programs, suspension, brakes, and tires for optimal performance. The Nevera R also features aerodynamic enhancements that increase downforce by 15% and reduce drag by 10%, giving it a fresh visual appeal.
Limited to only 40 units, the Rimac Nevera R sets a new benchmark for high-performance electric vehicles, sparking curiosity among enthusiasts about the potential trickle-down of these upgrades to the standard model in the future.
