Aston Martin cars in Cyprus
On the local market an Aston Martin turns up once in a while, in whatever specification it happens to have, at a price that scarcity sets. The advert will not tell you what is actually fitted — the option spread between two outwardly identical cars can reach the price of a small car — and a gap in the service record does not surface when you buy, but when you sell. We work the two right-hand-drive markets instead, Britain and Japan, and search to your specification rather than to what is standing on a forecourt. Where an approved used car is available from a main dealer, we take it. The factory order and the service record are confirmed before you choose, and one landed price goes into the contract before anything is paid. You do not run the import yourself: one agreement, with the sum and the terms fixed in it, and the purchase, the shipping, customs, registration and plates are on us. You collect the car in Limassol.
Which versions are worth importing
The DB12 is the current grand tourer: a twin-turbo V8 with a proper back seat for luggage, and the car most owners actually cover distance in. The DBX, and the DBX707 in particular, is the model that made Aston Martin a car you can use every day, and on this island that argument holds. The Vantage is the compact and most involving of the range, and the one where specification separates cars most sharply. Across all three the option list moves the resale figure by amounts that are worth understanding before you commit.
A used Aston Martin: what to check
We import cars under five years old, so the work is in the record rather than the odometer. We go through the full service history, the condition of the brakes and suspension, and the electronics and infotainment, which are the parts owners complain about most. Paint and panel work get their own reading, because these cars are hand-finished and a repair that was done quickly shows up under proper inspection. Where a car has been used on track, the records show it, and we establish that before it reaches your shortlist rather than afterwards.
Common mistakes when buying
The first is assuming the model name describes the car: a DBX in base trim and a fully optioned DBX707 are different cars at different money. The second is assuming two cars of the same year and colour are equivalent, when the specification can differ by the price of a small car. The third is underestimating consumables, which on this marque are priced accordingly. The fourth is comparing advertised prices instead of the final landed price in Cyprus. The fifth is passing over an approved used car from a main dealer where one is available: the price difference is usually smaller than a single major repair.
Where we source from and why
For Aston Martin we work two markets. The UK is the home market: the choice is widest, and a car can be taken approved used from a main dealer with its history intact and dealer-checked. Japan is right-hand drive as well, the cars are carefully kept, and the auction sheet grades condition independently. We cost both routes and compare on individual cars. The cars are built in Britain — the sports cars at Gaydon and the DBX in Wales — so the car is of British origin, and that tells when the import is costed. Right-hand drive is what Cyprus requires, and a British car comes that way with no compromise on equipment.
Price and what ownership costs
Cars in stock in Cyprus carry a price in the listing. A commission gives you one final landed price — car, shipping, duty and VAT where applicable, registration and our work — confirmed in the agreement before anything is paid. Consumables on this marque are priced accordingly, but what really holds the value is elsewhere: the factory order and the completeness of the service history, both visible at the first resale. Road tax here is a reference figure rather than an argument, though it is there in the calculator if you want it.
How a commission works
You describe the car and the specification you want. We come back with candidates and read out what each one actually is. Once you choose, we inspect, negotiate and buy, then handle shipping, paperwork and registration. The figure we quoted does not grow along the way.
If the vehicle you want is not among those listed, open a commission request. Depending on the model we will source it from the UK, Japan or Australia.
