Description

White leather in a seven-seater is the order most parents photograph in the showroom and then quietly change to black. Somebody in Japan placed it as photographed: Alpine White over ivory white Merino leather, with the dashboard wrapped in the same hide and an anthracite Alcantara headliner overhead. This X7 xDrive40d is on the water now and lands in Cyprus in December 2026. It can be reserved before it arrives.

The specification is the full M Sport Pro build. High-gloss Shadow Line replaces every piece of brightwork, the M Sport brakes sit behind black calipers, the M aerodynamics package shapes the bumpers and the Iconic Glow grille lights the kidneys at night. On a white body this reads as a single dark outline around a very pale shape, which is the whole point of ordering it this way.

Underneath is the part that makes a 5.2-metre SUV feel smaller than it is. Executive Drive Pro adds active roll stabilisation, so the body stays level through the bends above Limassol instead of leaning into them. Integral Active Steering turns the rear wheels — against the fronts at low speed so the turning circle shrinks in a multi-storey, with them at motorway speed so a lane change feels like one movement. Air suspension on both axles handles the rest. The 3.0-litre inline-six diesel with 48-volt mild-hybrid assistance produces 352 hp and 720 Nm, reaches 100 km/h in about 5.9 seconds and settles to around 7.5 litres per 100 km on a long run.

Inside, the Merino leather runs across all three rows. The front seats are climate-controlled with massage and memory. Heating covers both front and rear seats, with the front heat comfort package warming the steering wheel, armrests and door panels for the three weeks of the year Cyprus calls winter. Five-zone climate control gives the second row its own settings. The Crafted Clarity glass application puts cut-glass on the gear selector, iDrive controller and start button. Harman/Kardon surround sound, the curved display with BMW Live Cockpit Professional, gesture control, wireless charging, a head-up display and the TV function fill in the rest. Soft-close doors, comfort access, an electric sun blind and sun protection glazing take care of the small things. The panoramic Sky Lounge roof opens over the first two rows.

Driving Assistant Professional and Parking Assistant Professional cover the two ends of the day: adaptive cruise with steering support on the motorway, then a 360-degree camera with automated parking at the other end. Seven seats, with the third row folding electrically from switches in the boot and the second row sliding forward to let adults into the back.

Japan keeps vehicles the way this one has been kept. Short distances, no road salt, service by the book and an auction sheet that documents every panel before anyone bids. This one scored 5 — the top grade, given to vehicles with no repairs, no corrosion and nothing to note. 28,000 km in three years is a vehicle that was used properly and never worked hard.

There is a practical case for the colour too. A white body stays cooler in the Cyprus sun than any dark metallic and hides dust better than black ever will. Pale leather does not scorch on a seafront car park in August, so nobody is laying a towel on the seat before the school run. The combination Europe treats as a risk turns out to be the most sensible one on this island.

The X7 arrives in Cyprus in December 2026. Reserve it now and it is registered in your name on arrival, with the paperwork done while it is still at sea. The white-over-white combination does not come up often. This one is already on its way.
