Measurement is critical here; in 2019, BMW’s activities emitted 150 million tonnes of CO2 equivalent, which was narrowed to 131 million tons last year. The ambitious target is 109 million tCO2e by 2030, culminating in a groundbreaking goal of just 15 million tonnes per year by 2050.
