Jaguar has recently announced that production of its E-Pace small SUV and I-Pace electric SUV will be ending in December of this year. This decision comes as the brand shifts its focus towards the luxury market and aims to become fully electric by 2025. In a move to streamline its lineup, Jaguar has also discontinued the XE and XF executive sedans, as well as the F-Type sports car earlier this year. As a result, the F-Pace is now the only model being produced, with production taking place at the company's Solihull plant in the UK and in China for the local market.
Although production of the E-Pace and I-Pace will cease, sales of these models will continue until 2024 and possibly extend into 2025 in certain regions, ensuring a steady supply of inventory for the time being. The Solihull facility, in addition to producing the upcoming Range Rover Electric, will also be manufacturing three new Jaguar models. The first of these will be a four-door GT, expected to be the most powerful production Jaguar to date, surpassing the I-Pace in both range and charging capabilities. JLR CEO Adrian Mardell mentioned earlier this year that prototypes of the new Jaguar GT will be on the road soon, with plans to unveil something this year. All three new Jaguars will be built on a dedicated EV platform known as 'Jaguar Electrified Architecture' (JEA).
